Highlights

Seventeen points in the fourth quarter. Two touchdowns from Tre Tucker. None of it was enough for the Las Vegas Raiders, who fell 33-30 to the Buffalo Bills at Allegiant Stadium after going scoreless through the entire third period.

The early exchange set the tone. Bass opened the scoring with a first-quarter field goal, Ashton Jeanty answered with a touchdown, and Las Vegas led 7-3 after one. Buffalo took the second quarter 10-6 on Bass's leg and a Khalil Shakir touchdown, but Matt Gay drilled two field goals before the break and the teams turned around level at 13-13.

The third quarter decided it. The Raiders managed nothing while Bass added three points and Keon Coleman reached the end zone, and Buffalo led 13-23 entering the fourth. Las Vegas finally stirred: Gay connected again, Tre Tucker scored, and when James Cook III answered with a touchdown for the Bills, Bass's fourth field goal pushed it to 23-33. Tucker struck once more to set the 30-33 final, but the hole dug in the third proved too deep.

Bass was the difference wrapped in routine. A kick in every quarter, 12 of Buffalo's 33 points, and no wobble while the game swung around him. Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman and James Cook III supplied the touchdowns, but when the Raiders' 17-point fourth quarter had Allegiant Stadium roaring, it was the same right foot that restored order.

The Raiders outscored Buffalo 17-10 in the fourth quarter and still lost by three. In the end, the third is where this one got away — and in Vegas, silence has a price.
