Highlights

Seven lead changes, one safety, and a two-point margin at the whistle: Middle Tennessee outlasted Delaware 33-30 in an NCAA FBS game that refused to sit still for four quarters.

Delaware struck first, Tucker Smack's field goal making it 0-3. Dominic Bourgeois levelled at 3-3, and a safety pushed Middle Tennessee in front at 5-3 — the first flip of the day. Roman Gagliano's second-quarter touchdown stretched the lead to 11-3, and the Blue Raiders looked comfortable. They were not. Kaderris Roberts' touchdown made it 12-9, Tyler Bell's unconverted score swung the game to 12-16, and the Blue Hens carried a four-point lead into halftime after winning the second quarter 13-7.

The third quarter belonged to Middle Tennessee, 14-7, the widest margin any quarter produced. Koraun Perdue's touchdown edged the home side back in front at 18-16, Josh Humes answered for Delaware at 19-22, and Neo Clifton flipped it again at 25-23. The fourth quarter kept the pattern alive: Roberts' second touchdown put Delaware up 26-29, and Clifton's second — the seventh and final lead change — put Middle Tennessee in front for good. The final read 33-30.

Clifton was the difference. Two touchdowns, the first to snatch back a third-quarter lead, the second to answer Delaware's last punch after Roberts had nudged the Blue Hens in front. Roberts scored twice himself and kept coming; every time Delaware moved ahead, Middle Tennessee had a reply loaded. Six players found the end zone — Gagliano, Roberts, Bell, Perdue, Humes, Clifton — and no lead ever felt safe.

Delaware kept winning the lead back. Middle Tennessee simply made sure it held the last one.
