AI SPORTSANALYTICSDetroit erased a 3-2 deficit one minute from the end and took it after overtime at Rogers Place.

One minute. That is all Edmonton had left to defend when Dylan Larkin struck in the 59th minute, and the 3-3 tie Detroit carried out of that moment became a 4-3 win after overtime at Rogers Place.
The night started the Oilers' way. Vasily Podkolzin opened in the 7th minute off a Connor McDavid feed, and Edmonton held the 1-0 lead into the first intermission despite back-to-back minors through Podkolzin and Ryan Shea. Detroit found its answer in the 29th minute, Viktor Arvidsson finishing a Lucas Raymond setup to level at 1-1.
The third period produced four goals in fifteen minutes. Isaac Howard restored Edmonton's lead at 2-1 in the 45th minute off Kasperi Kapanen, and Emmitt Finnie answered within the same minute from Arvidsson for 2-2. Colton Dach pushed the Oilers ahead 3-2 in the 57th minute, set up by Ryan Shea — and then Larkin, fed by Moritz Seider, buried the 3-3 equalizer with regulation nearly gone. Overtime settled it for Detroit.
Arvidsson was Detroit's engine: a goal, an assist, four shots and a +1, with a 41st-minute minor the only blemish. Raymond matched him in creation with two assists from three shots. Michal Postava made 25 saves to hold the line, Tristan Jarry stopped 26 at the other end, and the power-play ledger read 1/3 for Edmonton, 1/4 for Detroit. Dach was the Oilers' standout with a goal, an assist and a +1, but Podkolzin's night summed up the home side: one goal on one shot and four penalty minutes.
Edmonton led twice in the third period and still walked away with nothing. Detroit just kept answering — and kept answering last.
