Tennis finals rarely come this tidy. Iva Jović lifted the WTA Guadalajara trophy by beating Peyton Stearns 6-4, 6-2, and the scoreline only tells half the story: the No. 2 seed never faced a break point. Three breaks converted, none conceded — a final decided almost entirely on the return.

The week built toward it. Jović swept past Cristina Bucsa 6-4, 6-1 in the semifinals, saving 11 of 12 break points. Stearns arrived with momentum of her own, outlasting No. 8 seed Liudmila Samsonova 7-6(9), 6-2 after a long first-set tiebreak.

On Center Court, there was no trouble to survive. Jović's serve held firm from start to finish, and Stearns's resistance cracked three times. A WTA 500 title secured in straight sets, with the biggest moments never arriving at all.
