Iva Jović's Guadalajara coronation was as close to flawless as finals get. The second seed dispatched Peyton Stearns 6-4, 6-2, and the scoreline only hinted at her control: across the entire match, Stearns never earned a single break point.

The week had been building towards this. In the semifinals, Jović eased past Cristina Bucsa 6-4, 6-1, saving 11 of the 12 break points she confronted. Stearns arrived on a gritty run of her own, outlasting eighth seed Liudmila Samsonova 7-6(9), 6-2 after surviving a tense opening-set tiebreak.

But the showpiece belonged entirely to Jović's serve. Untested throughout and ruthless on return, she turned a WTA 500 final into a procession — clean, efficient and utterly untouchable when it mattered.
