AI SPORTSANALYTICSSix power plays, zero goals, 24 saves apiece — one overtime shot decided it in St. Louis.

Twenty-four saves each. Twenty-six shots against twenty-seven. After 62 minutes and five goals, the entire difference at Enterprise Center came down to a single play — Darnell Nurse's overtime winner, the only shot that truly mattered for San Jose.
St. Louis started fast. Connor McMichael scored inside four minutes, Mason McTavish with the assist, and the Blues carried a 1-0 lead into halftime despite trading early minors — Michael Kesselring at eight, Adam Jiricek at eleven. The second period became a relay to the penalty box: Joel Hofer, Cam Fowler, Ivar Stenberg and Brandon Carlo all served two minutes, and Tyler Toffoli levelled at 29 off Jacob Trouba's feed. Four minors in one period, no damage either way.
Dillon Dube restored the lead at 42 with an unassisted goal — his only shot of the night. Collin Graf answered at 47 from a Toffoli setup, and the special teams stayed silent the rest of the way: San Jose finished 0-for-4 on the power play, St. Louis 0-for-2. Overtime settled it at 62 minutes, Nurse converting from Alexander Wennberg to send the Sharks home winners after overtime.
Toffoli was the sharpest skater on the ice: a goal, an assist, four shots and a plus-one, a hand in two of San Jose's three goals. Alex Nedeljkovic matched Hofer save for save, 24 apiece. McMichael's early strike stood as the only return on McTavish's five-shot night, while Dube needed just one shot to score.
St. Louis served eight penalty minutes to San Jose's four, killed every Sharks power play, and still walked away with nothing. Killing time wins nothing in overtime — the last shot does.
